The 4-Month Identity Crisis

DevinRogersA couple weeks ago as we headed into E3 weekend, I had big plans for Devin Rogers Gaming.  I had time off from my day job, and with every free minute I intended to generate content and commentary based off of E3 announcements and trailers.  However, this was too ambitious a goal, and I burned myself out fairly quickly.

After a few posts about new trailers and one pitiful conference review, my E3 coverage came to an end.  There were things I wanted to say, but I felt overwhelmed by the sheer amount of content to get through.

Shortly after E3 ended it hit me that I was just reposting news.  This is way too small of a blog to be considered a popular news outlet, and it isn’t something I’m interested in being anyway.  And so for the past couple weeks I’ve taken a break from Devin Rogers Gaming to let the burn out fade while I debated about the kind of content I want to create for this site.  Here is the answer I came up with.

For the time being, I’m going to stick strictly to game reviews and industry commentary. I won’t be doing anymore videos (including the LootGaming unboxings) until I have a good reason to.  No news.  No Let’s Plays (for now, I have an idea for these).  No schedule.

I have some reviews cooking in the oven, but for now I will leave you with a big THANK YOU for reading Devin Rogers Gaming.  The best is yet to come.
